Yes, Leviton is considered a very good brand and is one of the most trusted and widely used electrical wiring device brands in North America. Founded in 1906, Leviton has over 115 years of experience manufacturing switches, outlets, lighting controls, and smart home products, and it is known for reliable quality, strong UL listing, and good safety testing. Electricians and contractors generally rate Leviton as a solid mid to premium brand that offers good durability, easy installation, and wide availability. Its Decora line of switches and outlets is iconic and found in millions of homes, and its Decora Smart line competes well with Lutron and other smart home brands, offering Wi-Fi switches that work with Alexa, Google, and Apple HomeKit without requiring a proprietary hub for some models. Leviton products are available at Home Depot, Lowes, and electrical distributors and come with good warranty support from an American family-owned company headquartered in New York. Compared to budget brands, Leviton offers better materials, tighter tolerances, and longer life, while compared to ultra-premium brands like Lutron Caseta for smart switches, Leviton offers more affordable pricing. Overall, Leviton is a reputable, well supported, and widely recommended brand for both DIY homeowners and professional electricians.
