Modern twin-disc clutch kits engineered specifically for high-performance street cars are remarkably streetable, provided they are matched correctly with an appropriate sprung hub design and organic or segmented organic friction discs. While they feature heavier pedal pressure and a more abrupt engagement window than stock single-disc units, they successfully manage high-horsepower street engines without slipping. Selecting metallic or rigid ceramic puck twin-disc setups for purely street-driven vehicles, however, results in harsh on-off engagement that makes traffic driving difficult.
