Having a glowing green status light while connected appliances receive no power typically indicates that the GFCI receptacle has tripped internally, or downstream receptacles are wired incorrectly to the LOAD terminals. When a GFCI trips, its internal mechanical relay disconnects power to both its own face and any protected downstream outlets, even though indicator electronics may remain lit. Alternatively, if incoming power feed wires are mistakenly connected to the LOAD terminals instead of the LINE terminals, the internal sensor jams, leaving the outlet unpowered. Verification: Firmly press the TEST button, then push the RESET button in until it clicks. Plug in a lamp to confirm if power is restored.
