Everyone has had a soft spot in their head as a baby, but not as an adult. Babies are born with soft spots called fontanelles, which are gaps between skull bones covered by membrane that allow skull to compress during birth and allow brain to grow rapidly in first year. There are typically six fontanelles, with two main ones, anterior on top of head and posterior at back. These close as skull bones fuse, posterior around 2 to 3 months, anterior around 12 to 18 months. By early childhood, skull is solid with no soft spots, though sutures remain slightly flexible until adulthood. Healthy adults do not have open soft spots, skull is fully fused and hard. So everyone had a soft spot as infant, but not as adult. Rare exceptions include adults with conditions like hydrocephalus, skull surgery, or bone disease that may have thin areas, but normal adults have no soft spot. So answer is yes, everyone has had a soft spot in head as baby, but no, not everyone currently has one, only infants do. The soft spot is normal developmental stage, not permanent.
