The contribution was part of a staggering $26 million the newlyweds distributed to more than 20 charities across multiple cities that hold special meaning for the couple, including Harvester's and Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Mary Farino, whose husband, New York Fire Battalion Chief Thomas J. Farino, died on September 11, 2001, wrote:
