Congratulations are in order for Emma Roberts and Cody John!

The "American Horror Story" star and her actor beau exchanged vows on Saturday, July 25, in a romantic ceremony at John's family estate in Sun Valley, Idaho, surrounded by close friends and family—including Emma's A-list aunt, Julia Roberts.

A Dream Wedding Come to Life

The couple, who announced their engagement in July 2024 after four years of dating, said "I do" in 95-degree weather during a 45-minute ceremony. Emma stunned in a custom Monique Lhuillier wedding gown crafted from 25 yards of silk chiffon dyed to a custom "antique rose" color—a nod to her middle name. The ethereal dress featured a high slit, an intricate corset with visible boning, and a removable ecru French lace shawl that created an asymmetrical neckline and dramatic train.

"I wanted it to feel very vintage-inspired," Emma explained during her final fitting. "I'm obsessed with antique books and treasure hunting... I kind of wanted to look like a ghost—a little antique ghost doll."

The gown took nine months and nearly 1,000 hours to complete. Emma accessorized with a chapel-length veil in antique rose-dyed silk tulle and a delicate lace voilette that doubled as a headband. Her groom looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo.

One particularly touching moment: Emma held hands with her six-year-old son Rhodes, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, as they walked down the aisle together.

A Family Affair

The wedding weekend was filled with loved ones. Emma's mother Kelly Cunningham, sister Grace Nickels, cousins Charlotte Long and Daphne Merrymen, and close friends—including stylist-sisters Brit and Kara Elkin, who also served as bridesmaids—joined her for the final dress fitting at Lhuillier's Los Angeles salon just days before the big day.

"She's all of our dolls. It was perfect," said bridesmaid Ally Gasparian.

When Emma stepped out in the finished gown, her entourage burst into tears. Her mother ran to embrace her, exclaiming: "Stunning. Absolutely stunning."

An After-Party Surprise

For the reception, Emma changed into a two-piece archival Monique Lhuillier look from the designer's fall 2004 collection—a black Chantilly lace corset paired with a tea-length, hand-cut silk organza skirt.

"I love the idea of wearing black for the after party," Emma said. "We love doing something that's a little unexpected. This looks like it could be totally vintage from 100 years ago, or from now."

A Love Story Four Years in the Making

Emma and Cody were first romantically linked in August 2022 when he posted a photo kissing the "We're the Millers" star. Mutual friends in the industry introduced the pair, and they initially took things slow as Emma was protective of her son.

"Emma loves Cody's personality," a source told E! News at the time. "He's really funny, and they have been having a good time together."

The couple announced their engagement in July 2024 with a playful Instagram post: "putting this here before my mom tells everyone."

Now, surrounded by family, friends, and the Idaho mountains, Emma and Cody have begun their next chapter together—proving that some love stories are worth the wait.
