Gorilla waterproof tape or heavy-duty silicone repair tape can temporarily slow or stop a minor leak on a low-pressure drain pipe, but it is entirely inadequate for pressurized water supply lines. High water pressure will quickly force water past adhesive tape wraps. Furthermore, tape degrades rapidly when exposed to constant moisture and chemical residues inside drainage lines. Verification: Monitor the taped joint with a dry paper towel and schedule a permanent pipe replacement immediately.
