Flex Seal spray or tape may offer a temporary, short-term patch for a minor leak on a low-pressure drain pipe, but it is completely unreliable for permanent plumbing repairs. It fails to bond securely to wet, pressurized metal or PVC pipes. As water flows and internal pressure fluctuates, temporary rubberized coatings will quickly lose adhesion and rupture, causing the leak to return with full force.
