If your shower fails to deliver hot water while sinks and other household fixtures function normally, the issue is almost always an improperly adjusted temperature limit stop ring on the shower valve cartridge or a jammed pressure-balancing spool. The anti-scald limit stop may be physically restricting handle rotation. Alternatively, hard water mineral scale can cement the internal balancing spool. Resetting the limit stop ring or descaling the internal cartridge typically restores full hot water access.
