Making your shower water hotter is typically accomplished by adjusting the internal temperature limit stop ring located on the valve cartridge stem beneath the handle trim. If the plastic limit stop was set too restrictively during installation, it physically blocks the handle from rotating toward the hot side. Removing the handle, pulling outward on the limit stop ring, and rotating it counter-clockwise allows the valve to mix a higher proportion of hot water, instantly increasing maximum shower water temperature.
