Adjusting the water temperature on a Delta shower faucet requires resetting the internal temperature limit stop device. Remove the handle set screw, take off the handle, and slide away the decorative sleeve to expose the cartridge stem. Pull outward on the adjustable plastic limit stop ring positioned around the stem and rotate it toward the hot or cold side to calibrate your maximum desired output temperature. Secure the stop ring back into place, test the water temperature, and reassemble the handle trim.
