A toilet refilling very slowly is almost always the result of a restricted water supply line, a partially closed wall shutoff valve, or a clogged debris filter screen inside the fill valve assembly. Hard water minerals and pipe sediment frequently accumulate inside these small filter screens over years of use, choking down water flow to a narrow trickle. Verification: Clean the fill valve filter screen and open the shutoff valve fully to restore normal rapid tank refilling speeds.
