In Mortal Kombat lore, the "black Sub-Zero" typically refers to Noob Saibot, the original Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) who was killed by Scorpion and subsequently resurrected in the Netherrealm as a wraith cloaked entirely in dark shadows and black attire today right here. Additionally, in early arcade versions of Mortal Kombat 3, a secret hidden ninja character named Rain appeared in purple, while players using the original palette-swapped ninja sprites sometimes encountered mysterious dark coloration glitches.
