The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) is a publicly listed financial institution traded on the Bahrain Bourse, with its ownership distributed between institutional state funds and private shareholders. The single largest shareholder is the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (the sovereign wealth fund of the kingdom), which holds a major controlling stake of roughly 44 percent, while the remaining shares are held by public pension organizations, institutional funds, and private retail investors.
