Keeprite is owned by Carrier Global Corporation, one of the largest HVAC manufacturers in the world headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. More specifically, Keeprite is one of the brands manufactured by International Comfort Products or ICP, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carrier. Carrier acquired ICP in 1999, and ICP operates as the value and mid-tier brand division of Carrier. ICP is headquartered in Lewisburg, Tennessee, and manufactures several residential HVAC brands on shared assembly lines including Keeprite, Tempstar, Heil, Arcoaire, Comfortmaker, and Day and Night. All of these brands use many identical internal components such as Copeland compressors, Micro-Channel coils, and heat exchangers designed by Carrier. Before being owned by Carrier, Keeprite was part of a group of companies that included Heil and Arcoaire and had independent ownership with strong Canadian distribution. The Keeprite brand name itself has been around since the mid-20th century and was historically popular in Canada. Today, while the brand is marketed heavily in Canada through distributors like Master Group, the ultimate corporate owner is Carrier Global, which is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker CARR. So when you buy a Keeprite furnace, the nameplate will say International Comfort Products LLC, a Carrier company, Lewisburg, TN.
