KeepRite, correctly spelled Keeprite, is not currently made in Canada, though it has strong Canadian heritage and is very popular in Canada. Keeprite furnaces and air conditioners are manufactured by International Comfort Products or ICP, which is a subsidiary of Carrier Global Corporation, with primary production in Lewisburg, Tennessee, USA. All Keeprite, Tempstar, Heil, Arcoaire, Comfortmaker, and Day and Night units are built on shared assembly lines in the same Tennessee factory using many identical components designed by Carrier. Historically, Keeprite did have Canadian manufacturing and distribution, and the brand name is well-known in Canada through distributors like Master Group and Watsco, and many older Keeprite units from the 1980s and 1990s were assembled in Canada. Today, however, production for North America has been consolidated in Tennessee for economies of scale, and finished units are shipped to Canada with CSA certification, bilingual English and French labeling, and Canadian warranty support. So while Keeprite is American-made, it is Canadian-certified and widely sold and serviced across Canada. If you want a furnace that is actually made in Canada today, brands like Napoleon manufactured in Barrie, Ontario and Dettson manufactured in Sherbrooke, Quebec are truly Canadian-made, whereas Keeprite is American-made for the Canadian market.
