On the vast majority of Kwikset electronic and smart door locks, the physical reset or programming button is located on the interior side of the lock, directly underneath the battery cover. Depending on whether your model uses a sliding battery tray, a removable cover, or four AA batteries packed in a vertical cylinder, you may need to remove the interior cover to expose a small, clearly labeled black or red "Program" button. Holding this button during power-up initiates factory resets or user code programming sequences.
