Changing or adding a user code on a Kwikset keypad lock depends on whether you are using a master code or programming directly via the interior button. For standard models, remove the battery cover, press the Program button once, enter your master code, press the lock button, enter the slot number followed by your new 4-digit code, and press lock again. On newer smart models, you can easily add, delete, or modify 4-digit user codes remotely or locally directly through the Kwikset mobile application.
