Securing free delivery on bulky items like 4x8 sheets of plywood can be challenging due to the heavy weight and large physical dimensions of sheet goods. Major national home improvement retailers occasionally offer free truck delivery or free store-to-home shipping promotions, but these offers usually require meeting a high minimum purchase threshold or participating in special contractor loyalty programs. Local independent lumberyards and specialty building supply companies sometimes provide complimentary job-site delivery as an added value service when customers purchase large quantities of materials for residential or commercial construction projects.
