Extremely thin plywood panels are frequently referred to as aircraft-grade plywood, flexible plywood, craft plywood, or utility underlayment boards, depending on their construction and intended application. Aircraft plywood is precision-manufactured with very thin wood veneers, sometimes as thin as 1/16 of an inch or less, bonded together with high-strength adhesives to achieve incredible rigidity while maintaining minimal weight. Flexible plywood, often called wiggle board, is designed to bend easily around tight curves for decorative columns or rounded furniture, whereas thin hobby plywood sheets are sold in craft stores for model-making.
