The Azrieli Foundation was officially established and registered as a charitable organization in Canada, beginning its formal philanthropic operations in the late 1980s. Founded by David Azrieli and subsequently expanded under the leadership of his children, including Dr. Naomi Azrieli, the institution has grown over the decades into the largest non-corporate public foundation in Canada, distributing hundreds of millions of dollars to support education, scientific research, and community initiatives.
