The creature Dren in the movie Splice is an experimental genetic hybrid created by fusing multiple animal species with unauthorized human DNA. Specifically, her genetic makeup incorporates DNA sequences derived from birds, amphibians, and various mammals, resulting in a unique organism that possesses aquatic swimming adaptations, avian-like wings, high intelligence, and the biological ability to undergo a rapid sex change as she matures into adulthood.
