There is no dedicated physical reset button on your GE washer like a small red button you press, but you can reset it through power cycling and control panel button combinations that clear error codes and control glitches. GE washers including top-load models like GTW465ASNWW and GTW720BSNWS and front-load models like GFW650SSNWW use electronic control board that can be reset. The universal reset method is hard power reset: press and hold Start/Pause or Power button for 3 seconds to stop any running cycle, open door or lid, then unplug washer from wall outlet or turn off circuit breaker that supplies it, wait at least 5 to 10 minutes to allow main control board capacitors to fully discharge and clear memory and error codes like F9E1 for drain, F8E1 for fill, and E22, some technicians recommend pressing and holding Start button for 5 seconds while unplugged to drain residual charge, then plug back in. Washer will beep and may display PF for power failure, press any button to clear. Second method is reset via diagnostic mode: with washer off, turn cycle knob 3 clicks clockwise, 1 counterclockwise, 1 clockwise within 8 seconds, all lights flash, press Start to run test that clears codes. For lid lock reset, unplug for 10 minutes. A reset clears electronic glitches but does not fix mechanical failures like failed drain pump that costs 30 to 70 dollars.
