Stopping a leaking Delta Monitor shower faucet requires replacing the internal valve cartridge and the rubber seat seals and springs housed beneath it. First, shut off the main water supply, remove the handle and trim sleeve, and extract the retaining ring to pull out the old cartridge. Next, use a small screwdriver to fish out the old rubber seats and conical springs at the base of the valve housing, replace them with new components, insert a fresh Delta cartridge, and reassemble the trim to eliminate drips.
