Mr. Handyman has over 200 franchise locations across United States, making it one of larger handyman franchise systems, though smaller than Ace Handyman Services with over 300. Mr. Handyman was founded in 2000 and began franchising, growing to over 200 franchises in most states, with presence in major metro areas like Seattle, Dallas, Atlanta, and also some locations in Canada, though US is primary market. The franchise count includes both operating locations and awarded franchises, with corporate parent Neighborly based in Waco, Texas supporting growth. Neighborly owns 29 brands and over 5,000 franchise locations worldwide, with Mr. Handyman being one of them. Number of franchises fluctuates as new open and some close, but 200 plus is current estimate from company website and franchise disclosure document. For comparison, Servpro has over 2,000, so Mr. Handyman smaller but significant in handyman segment. Each franchise is individually owned and operated, with technicians serving local area. Growth continues as demand for home repairs increases.
