The depth to which steel push piers are driven depends entirely on subterranean soil conditions and the location of stable load-bearing strata. While some push piers anchor securely at depths of ten to twenty feet, many residential installations require driving the heavy steel pipes down twenty to fifty feet or even deeper until they hit impenetrable bedrock or dense earth layers.
