Does Lowe's sell bulk sand?

Yes, Lowe's does sell bulk sand, though the availability and definition of bulk can vary by location. In most Lowe's stores, bulk sand is available in two forms. First, they sell pallet quantities of 50 pound bags, which is considered bulk for contractors, with 42 to 56 bags per pallet covering about one ton, and you can get a discount for buying a full pallet. Second, many Lowe's locations, especially those with a landscape supply area outside, sell bulk sand by the scoop or by the cubic yard in large bins where you can shovel it into your truck or have it delivered. They typically carry bulk all-purpose sand, concrete sand, play sand, paver sand, and leveling sand. You can also order bulk sand for delivery through Lowes.com, where they will arrange delivery from a local supplier of a ton or more of sand. The delivery fee is usually 75 to 100 dollars. For very large quantities like 5 to 10 tons, Lowe's will often refer you to their Pro Desk which works with local quarries and landscape suppliers to arrange bulk delivery at bulk pricing of about 25 to 50 dollars per ton plus delivery. So while not every Lowe's has a large sand pile on site, they can source bulk sand through their supply chain.
