The standalone individual life insurance operations under the Liberty Mutual brand do not exist in their original form, as the parent company sold off its individual life and annuity business lines to other major financial entities. While legacy policies continue to exist and are actively serviced, honored, and managed by the acquiring corporations that took over those portfolios, the brand itself no longer markets or originates new individual life insurance contracts.
