In M. Night Shyamalan's psychological thriller film Trap, the protagonist and covert serial killer Cooper (played by Josh Hartnett) ultimately succeeds in evading immediate capture by law enforcement by the conclusion of the movie. Throughout the narrative, Cooper is trapped inside a massive concert arena surrounded by an elaborate FBI sting operation designed specifically to catch him. Despite intense interrogation and tight federal surveillance, Cooper utilizes his cunning intellect, manipulation skills, and intimate knowledge of the venue to slip away from authorities. While he escapes the concert venue, the final scenes heavily imply that his double life has collapsed, leaving his freedom precarious as the law closes in on him.
