You can still get Pushmatic breakers, but only as used, refurbished, or aftermarket replacements, as original Pushmatic breakers made by Bulldog and later ITE Pushmatic are no longer manufactured as new products. Pushmatic breakers use a unique push-button design and were installed in homes from the 1950s to 1980s, and since they are obsolete, you will not find new OEM Pushmatic breakers at Home Depot or Lowes. However, specialty suppliers that deal in obsolete electrical parts sell refurbished Pushmatic breakers, and companies like Connecticut Electric make aftermarket replacement breakers marketed as compatible with Pushmatic panels under brands like UBITBA. These can be found on Amazon, eBay, and specialty breaker websites such as Bay Breakers, typically costing 40 to 150 dollars per breaker, much more expensive than modern Square D or Eaton breakers that cost 10 to 30 dollars. While you can still get them, electricians strongly advise against spending money on expensive replacement Pushmatic breakers because Pushmatic panels themselves are outdated, lack modern safety features like AFCI and GFCI protection, have limited 100 amp capacity, and should be replaced entirely with a modern panel from Square D, Eaton, or Siemens for 1,500 to 3,500 dollars installed, which provides new breakers and meets current codes.
