You cannot use Posi-Temp trim kits on a Moentrol valve body, because they are engineered with entirely different internal mechanisms and handle operations. Posi-Temp valves rely on simple rotation and pull-out actions controlled by the 1222 cartridge, whereas Moentrol valves utilize a push-pull mechanism for volume control alongside rotational temperature mixing. Their mounting dimensions, sleeve connections, and internal port alignments are completely incompatible and cannot be interchanged.
