LG stoves and ranges have been subject to voluntary recalls and safety campaigns, but there is no massive mandatory recall for all LG stoves in 2026. The most significant recall occurred in 2024 for certain LG slide-in gas ranges manufactured between 2015 and 2023, including models LSG4511, LSG4513, LRG4113, and LRG4115, due to front control knobs that could be accidentally turned on by children, pets, or unintentional contact, causing the gas burner to ignite without user knowledge and posing fire and burn risks. The CPSC and LG announced a voluntary recall that provided free knob locks and replacement knobs with improved detents. Consumers were instructed to use knob locks and ensure children do not have access to the range. In addition, there have been smaller service bulletins for LG electric ranges with self-clean features where the control board could overheat if self-clean was used excessively, and LG offered free board inspection and thermal protector replacement. There was also a recall for some LG over-the-range microwaves combined with ranges for potential fire risk from faulty installation. To check if your LG stove is currently under recall, locate the model and serial number on the door frame or behind the storage drawer and enter it on LG's official recall lookup at lg.com/us/support or at cpsc.gov/Recalls, or call LG support at 1-800-243-0000 for confirmation.
