The New York Jets are practically guaranteed never to relocate their physical stadium operations back into the geographical boundaries of New York State. The franchise has spent decades playing its home games away from the city proper, previously sharing Giants Stadium and currently co-owning the multi-billion-dollar MetLife Stadium located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The astronomical costs associated with land acquisition, the complete lack of massive urban space within New York City required to build a modern stadium complex alongside vast parking infrastructure, and long-term binding lease agreements make moving across state lines an unrealistic and unfeasible proposition for the organization.
