A faucet feels wiggly and loose when touched usually because the mounting nut or hardware securing the faucet shank to the underside of the sink deck has worked loose over time due to constant handle pulling and spout swiveling. In some cases, a wiggly faucet can also be caused by a compressed or deteriorated mounting gasket underneath the sink deck that no longer holds rigid tension. Verification: Check the mounting nut under the sink and tighten it securely with a wrench to eliminate all movement.
