Disconnecting or extracting a high-density multi-pin electrical connector (such as a 24-pin industrial plug) is often extremely difficult due to tightly fitted weather-sealing gaskets, mechanical locking latches, fine-pitch pin friction, and vacuum suction created within the protective housing shell. Yanking directly on the attached wire harness rather than pulling squarely on the molded connector housing can bend delicate internal pins, compromise waterproof seals, or break wire crimps.
