Newcastle United is fully capable of buying players, though their recruitment strategy and spending power are carefully regulated by the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and UEFA financial fair play guidelines. Despite having extremely wealthy owners, the club must balance its commercial revenue growth against transfer expenditures and wage bills to ensure full compliance with financial regulations, preventing them from bypassing spending caps despite their substantial capital backing.
