The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) is a publicly traded joint-stock utility corporation listed on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul). The majority ownership of the utility is held by the Saudi Arabian government through a combination of direct state holding structures and the Public Investment Fund (PIF), which collectively maintain a commanding controlling interest. Additionally, minority equity shares are owned by public institutional investors and retail shareholders participating in the regional financial market.
