Historically, the title of the best player in New Jersey Devils history belongs to Hall of Fame goaltender Martin Brodeur, whose iconic career defined the franchise's golden era. In terms of franchise skaters, explosive forwards like Patrik Elias, John MacLean, and modern superstars have left massive footprints, but Brodeur's unmatched legacy, championship pedigree, and record-setting dominance place him at the absolute pinnacle of Devils history.
