Goodman air conditioning is made by Goodman Manufacturing Company, L.P., which is an American HVAC manufacturer founded in 1982 by Harold Goodman in Houston, Texas, and currently headquartered in Waller, Texas, near Houston, at the large Daikin Texas Technology Park, and is owned by Daikin Industries, Ltd., headquartered in Osaka, Japan. Daikin Industries, founded in 1924, is the world's largest HVAC manufacturer by revenue and acquired Goodman in 2012 for about 3.7 billion dollars from private equity firm Hellman and Friedman. Goodman Manufacturing makes residential air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and air handlers including models like the Goodman GSXC18 high efficiency air conditioner and GMVM97 modulating furnace, which are sold through HVAC distribution across the US and Canada. Daikin Texas Technology Park in Waller, Texas, is a massive 4.2 million square foot facility where Goodman, Daikin, and Amana branded HVAC equipment are manufactured for North America, employing thousands of workers. So Goodman air conditioning is made by Goodman Manufacturing, which is owned by Daikin Industries of Japan, with manufacturing in Texas and Mexico for North American markets, meeting UL and CSA standards.
