Prior to launching Ryan Specialty, he founded Aon Corporation and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for 41 years, building it into one of the largest risk management firms in the world. Following his brief retirement, he established Ryan Specialty to address evolving gaps in the wholesale and specialty commercial insurance markets.
