Comparing Colgate University and Lafayette College comes down to individual preference, as both are elite, highly prestigious northeastern private liberal arts institutions with strong academic reputations and active Greek life scenes. Colgate is widely noted for its stunning hilltop campus in a more rural New York setting and an intensely loyal alumni network, whereas Lafayette offers a scenic suburban campus in Pennsylvania with close proximity to major metropolitan areas like New York City and Philadelphia.
