When replacing an existing Eaton circuit breaker, it must be replaced with an exact matched model from the same product series: Eaton BR breakers are replaced with new Eaton BR breakers, and Eaton CH breakers are replaced with new Eaton CH breakers. For older legacy Cutler-Hammer panels where original parts are scarce, Eaton also manufactures specialized UL-listed classified replacement lines (such as the CL series) designed to safely retrofit those specific legacy enclosures.
