Fordham University has a historic basketball tradition that has produced several players who reached the professional ranks of the National Basketball Association. Notable former Rams players who advanced to the NBA include Ed Conlin, who was selected fifth overall in the 1955 NBA Draft by the Syracuse Nationals, Kenny Charles, Charlie Yelverton, Johnny Bach, and more recently, forward Eric Paschall, who was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft and earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors with the Golden State Warriors.
