Strict aviation security laws and Bahraini customs regulations prohibit bringing specific items into or through the airport terminals. Prohibited goods include illegal narcotics and psychotropic drugs, weapons, explosives, ammunition, unauthorized firearms without a Ministry of Interior permit, dangerous knives, Indian paan and its derivatives, counterfeit currency, goods of Israeli origin or bearing Israeli trademarks, and any printed publications, media, or sculptures deemed contradictory to Islamic teachings, public morality, or local decency standards.
