Additionally, large quantities of methanol serve as a primary chemical intermediate for creating acetic acid, methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) used in gasoline blending, dimethyl terephthalate, various solvents, biodiesel fuels, and emerging chemical applications across diverse manufacturing sectors.
