Actor and comedian Adam Sandler has several fun, well-documented connections to Syracuse University and the local community. In his classic 1999 hit comedy film Big Daddy, his main character, Sonny Koufax, is proudly portrayed as a Syracuse University alumnus who earned his law degree from the institution. Additionally, Sandler has been spotted visiting the campus to play pickup basketball games with students, and he famously brought an institutional spotlight to a local alumnus who served as his official movie body double and doppelganger.
