There are very few refrigerators actually made in Canada today, as most refrigerator manufacturing moved to US, Mexico, and Asia, but some fridges are assembled or made in Canada and some Canadian brands exist. Historically, major brands like Inglis and others had Canadian plants, but today most fridges sold in Canada are made in USA, Mexico, or South Korea. However, some fridges made in Canada include certain models from Miele and other specialty brands, and Danby is Canadian company headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, founded in 1947, that designs compact refrigerators, mini fridges, and specialty fridges, though many Danby fridges are manufactured in China and other countries under Canadian design. True manufacturing in Canada for full-size fridges is limited, with Whirlpool having some production in Canada historically but now most Whirlpool fridges for Canada are made in US plants like Amana, Iowa and Cleveland, Tennessee. Some commercial refrigeration like True Manufacturing has Canadian distribution but US made. For residential, the closest to made in Canada are fridges assembled in Canada from imported components or specialty brands like Unique Appliances which makes off-grid fridges in Canada. So no major full-size fridge brand is 100 percent made in Canada today, most fridges in Canada are imported, but Danby is Canadian-owned company selling fridges in Canada, and some Miele and Liebherr models have Canadian assembly, with majority of fridges sold in Canada made in USA and Mexico.
