Is Frigidaire made in Canada?

No, Frigidaire refrigerators are not made in Canada, they are primarily made in Mexico and United States, with some components from other countries, though sold widely in Canada. Frigidaire is American brand founded in 1918 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, now owned by Swedish Electrolux since 1986, with headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Frigidaire manufacturing for North American market is mainly in Mexico at plants in Juarez and other locations making refrigerators, dishwashers, and other appliances, plus some production in US plants like Springfield, Tennessee and other Electrolux facilities. There are no Frigidaire refrigerator manufacturing plants in Canada today, as most major appliance manufacturing moved out of Canada due to costs, with Canada having limited fridge manufacturing. Some commercial refrigeration and specialty fridges may be assembled in Canada, but full-size residential Frigidaire fridges are imported to Canada from Mexico and US, sold at Home Depot Canada, Lowes Canada, and other retailers with Made in Mexico or Made in USA labeling. Canadian-owned fridge company is Danby based in Guelph, Ontario, which designs compact fridges but many are made in China. So Frigidaire is not made in Canada, it is made in Mexico and USA for Canadian market, with no Canadian factory for Frigidaire residential refrigerators, though Electrolux Canada handles distribution and service.
