Vinegar is a mild acetic acid that can be used safely on engineered quartz countertops for brief cleaning routines, provided it is diluted with water and wiped away promptly. However, leaving undiluted vinegar sitting on quartz for extended periods can eventually dull the shiny gloss finish or degrade the protective resin binders. While quartz is much more acid-resistant than marble, routine use of harsh or concentrated acidic cleaners is discouraged by manufacturers in favor of mild dish soap.
