Depending on the context, saying someone "is sliding" can mean a few different things. In physical terms, it means they are slipping or gliding across a slick surface. In modern youth and urban slang, it can mean that a person is casually heading over to a hangout spot, traveling to meet friends, or, in street terminology, riding out to support associates during a tense situation.
